Prosperous India?

I feel sorry for the current state of affairs in Indian politics. The Left parties are finding fault with every action that the government takes and the BJP has been in a mood of perpetual hypocrisy, ever since they lost the elections in May, 2004. The Prime Minister seems to be alone on the battlefront, without any support from his own party. His flawless diplomacy has made many politicians going for his head and the condition seems to worsen by each passing day. India's growing power as a democracy is overshadowed by its internal conflicts and the deplorable situation of law and order in the country. I believe we can transform the country into a haven for peace if the bureaucracy makes itself accountable and transparent. Various measures need to be put in place for that responsibility to awaken. Effective leadership is the key to a prosperous and powerful India.
